Happy Winter Holidaze!
The usual Wednesday midday place & start time - but this one's longer. And more festive. Celebratory ;)
We're past Thanksgiving; it's mid-Chanukah and almost Christmas, Kwanzaa, and some of the New Year's celebrations. Come share your holiday traditions, holiday caching plans/stories, and enjoy time with your geo-buddies (or buddies-to-be) :)
To celebrate, CO will provide some treats, both edible and not, for attendees. There are multiple options for sustenance in this center should you want to get yourself a drink or additional edibles. No obligation to eat/drink either way.
All ages are welcome. As are trackables. Festive attire encouraged. If you have holiday goodies/decor that you'd like to share with others, feel free to bring them.
Meet at the corner tables if they're available; else look around for us nearby if that space appears to be taken by muggles. We should be able to distance just fine. Dress for whatever the weather. Under an awning(!) in case of liquid or frosty sunshine (ie. rain or snow).
If the weather is *really* bad and we have to cancel for snow, it'll be rescheduled for Wednesday the 28th.
Hope to see you there, and in a holiday mood.
:) Pickypicky :)
Facilities: Plenty of parking, with space enough for RVs/trucks. Restrooms inside the corner food place, at least one other food place, and the grocery store. There are public bus stops within a few blocks, along Route 50. Gas station near the traffic light. Hotel across the street.
Corner edibles place has been happy to have us use their outside tables. Here's their info in case you need it.
Corner Bakery
3903B Fair Ridge Dr
(703) 934-8703
As usual, please don't attend if you have or have recently been exposed to COVID or if you're feeling sick in general. We'd rather see you when you're feeling well.
* There's a place in this center to get treats for your doggo, although doggos are not allowed inside the corner location. CO did not ask about doggos being outside under the awning. CO's doggo will not be at this event.
