Hampshire Midweek Monthly Meeting #144

This will be the 10th meeting hosted by this venue and Adi and company are happy to host us again at this a favorite venue for many of us. This is an historic Pub with a long history dating back to the 16th century as a Coaching Inn between Brighton and the ports of Portsmouth and Southampton. 

They have agreed to do the "Geocachers Menu" again with a slight increase in price, but still fab value for rib sticking good food! (See menu attached image)

The Crown Hotel is located on the north side of the central village square.
From the A259 Havant to Chichester road, turn South at the mini roundabout into the village, and the pub is a few hundred yards along on the left hand side. 

From from across the Sussex border or even further east, take the left fork at the first Millpond, past the Garage and up the hill and where the Hotel will be found on the right after the road bend and square.

There is a fair amount of local on-street parking available, and 2 large car parks can be found within 3 or 4 minutes walk at South Street Car park N 50 50.740 W 000 56.226 and Palmers Road Car Park N 50 50.909 W 000 56.170

There will be the usual good raffle (£1 a strip of 5 tickets) and the large wooden treasure chest will be available for the swapping and discovering of Geocoins and Travel Bugs.

If you have not been to an event cache before and would like to experience something different, then please come along and enjoy yourself. We are a very friendly bunch and promise not to bite. If you are shy about coming alone, please do not hesitate to contact me through my Geocaching profile and I can meet you outside to welcome you in. 

Other Cachers will be on hand to “listen” to tales of your caching adventures both good and bad and also proffer hints on those tricky puzzle caches that have been tormenting you!

Children and dogs will be made very welcome, provided that they are kept under control!
