Geocache Description:


This cache is part of a series of 6 caches placed on our daily walk around Springburn Park during the Covid-19 lockdown. We are very lucky to be able to walk to this park for our daily permitted exercise, and it has wide pathways and covers a large enough area that it easily enables social distancing. Indeed on many of our visits there have been few other people here. We have placed them in the order of the way we walk so that you can experience a healthy walk but also take in the 3 lovely ponds and the many birds which live here. During the past few weeks we have got to know the heron, swans, seagulls and many ducks that live here. We have seen the hatching of 6 baby Coots and 4 ducklings to date, and are keenly awaiting the cygnets which Mrs Swan and her husband ‘Groucho’ (he bites) are carefully incubating. There are also tadpoles is you look in top (Conservation) pond. All caches are placed in evergreens and are off the path. Tweezers may assist with log removal but it is also possible without. If you find the first five caches and record their colour as you go, you can then calculate the co-ordinates of the bonus 6th cache. Stay safe and happy cacheing.
