Southern Integrated Gateway or Gerbang Selatan Bersepadu is the formal name of the whole complex covering CIQ (customs, immigration and quarantine), JB Sentral, the railway station and the Sultan Iskandar Building, but it's known to all as CIQ. This is the main transportation hub of Johor Bahru and southern peninsula Malaysia and it also includes a bus terminal at ground level. An RTS rail connection to Singapore will soon start construction and connect to CIQ to the north.
One more connection to this hub was opened up in January 2020: a 650m elevated walkway to the huge R&F mall and Princess Cove apartments to the south. It's covered, patrolled, clean, well-lit, pleasantly wide (about 4m) and has interesting views to both sides as it winds between the pillars of the elevated roads above.
The gateway to the new elevated walkway looks down over the JB Sentral bus terminal which serves more bus routes than any other point in the city.
