Geocache Description:


This is the city, Downers Grove, Illinois. People here, like anywhere else, put in a hard day’s work. It can take ten minutes or two hours to get where you're going. Movie theaters, malls, restaurants—it’s all here and more. Life in Downers Grove is safe and a convenient place to live. I keep it that way, I carry a badge. The story you are about to hear is true, the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

Yesterday Pierce Freidman, a man suspected of homicide during a bank robbery, was apprehended. The alleged perpetrator resisted arrest and suffered a head trauma. We transported him to Good Sam Hospital to have his injuries examined. Freidman overpowered a doctor, nurse and police officer and disappeared into the night.

Nearby neighborhoods were blanketed by policy without success. Early this morning a suspicious man was seen between a department store and a bank off Finley Road. He was last seen ducking into an overgrown area behind the buildings. Though a thorough search was conducted, Pierce Freidman remains at large.

The public is asked to notify the police should they observe any suspicious characters in the area. Do not approach the person as he should be assumed to be armed and dangerous.
