This cache is a Pop Bottle Preform and has a water proof paper log. If you find the log wet just dry it on something and sign in. Preforms are like a bottle of pop, when you are putting on the lid twist it on firmly to keep the moisture out. There is no writing stick in it s you are going to have to bring yours along, remember no signature no smilie. The area you are driving is Bear and Cougar country so keep an eye on the kids and fur kids. This logging road is still being used in some places and we need to respect that. I suggest driving no faster then 50 k and have your head lights on for viability. The logging trucks can not stop or swerve fast so you will have to be the one to get out of the way.
SCC is short for Short Cut Continued. A fellow cacher placed a series of caches out here to highlight a short cut to get down to the end of Canal Main and I continued it from where she left off. I suggest that cachers do hers first and then continue from mine, not to come in from the back end. The last little section of road is steep and you would need a 4x4 to get up it however a 2wd car could get down with no problems. At the time of placing these cache a 2wd car can do the entire route without any pin striping however I would suggest good tires. Seeing as these are active logging roads I would suggest that you do this series on the weekends or holidays, you are less likely to run into logging trucks. There are some very nice views along the way and I hope you enjoy these 9 caches.
