This is the boarding point for a trip around the perimeter of Adwalton Moor, the scene of an historic battle between the Parliamentary and Royalist forces during the English civil war. This battle was fought on the 30th of June 1643 and is commemorated by 4 stones located around the Moor, each with a plaque. As an extra challenge, try find all 4 of these stones, the first is located adjacent to the new Rugby Club car park, the second near AM5, the third behind AM2 and the fourth on the crossroads after collecting AM3.
