The Kirtland's Warbler Alliance is a non-profit “friends” group created in 2013 to support Kirtland’s Warbler conservation. Even though the Kirtland’s Warbler population has grown to the point where it is no longer on the Endangered Species List, conservation efforts must continue. That’s because the Kirtland’s Warbler is considered to be “conservation reliant,” which means we humans will have to act to protect the warbler for as long as we can see into the future.
The Alliance is working build public-private partnerships that will establish a new model for endangered species conservation by supporting the Kirtland's Warbler Conservation Team as it guides future conservation efforts.
