Geocache Description:

Number 2 in the farm series: Allen Farm was established in the 1880's by William Russell Allen. The farm was used for breeding horses. He even built a private race track on this farm and had the biggest barn in the state including steam heated stalls. By 1913 his trotters had won more prize money than any farm in the US. When William passed away he had 121 horses. The stone arch entryway still stands today and can be seen from Dalton Ave. A short distance off the mowed path, BYOP
