Personal Penguin by Sandra Boynton is/was one of the favorite books that we read with our boys as they grew up. It's a sweet story about a penguin who just wants to hang out with a hippopotamus, and there's a whole song that goes along with it. We don’t sing it every night anymore, but every once in a while, they’ll pull it out and ask for it at bedtime.
Some other favorite stories the FiberArch boys have are Monkey Truck, Freight Train, Goodnight Moon, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, just to name a few. For Mr. FiberArch, his favorites growing up were Tootles and Phantom Tollbooth. For Mrs. FiberArch, Boxcar Children and Cam Jensen.
