As the (not-so little) girl cacher and I returned from a walk to the water we came to see, we decided to leave a cache in the middle. This cache is located on state gamelands, so please be sure to obey all SGL rules, including wearing appropriate amounts of orange during designated seasons.

State game land (SGL) 120 is located in Chest Township, Cambria County as well as Jordan and Chest Township, Clearfield County in Wildlife Management Unit 2E, and currently has a deeded acreage of 7,651 acres. Located in Pennsylvania Game Commission's Southwest Region Wildlife Habitat Management Group Three. All water within this SGL is part of the Susquehanna River watershed. The PGC currently maintains nine public parking areas on SGL 120, and there is parking along most of the township and state roads that traverse the game land. The farthest area by foot from any parking lot or public road is approximately one mile. All roads except two are currently closed year‐round to public motor vehicle traffic and access is controlled with locked gates. The gated roads and rights‐of‐way provide access for hunters and avenues for hiking, wildlife photography and bird‐watching. Hunting for deer, grouse, and turkeys is popular in this area. Prominent furtaking opportunities include raccoon and red fox. Ring‐ necked pheasant are currently stocked on one reclaimed strip mine on SGL 120 where suitable habitat exists. Pheasant stocking of SGL 120 was initiated in 2012.
