This cache is placed at the northeast corner of Nagasaki Peace Park, where there is a small lookout with a great view of Urakami Cathedral. Peace Park is a commemorative park honoring atomic bomb victims of Nagasaki City at the end of the second world war. Let's hope there will be no incidents like this one in the future.
Cache spot is not far from the Peace Statue (about 50 meters), so it is recommended to stop by here after visiting the Statue and take a look the Cathedral, and further more, walk over and visit the Cathedral as well.
Cache container is a small painted Altoids Can, and shall be fairly easy to spot. Initial contents include some coins with a hole in the middle and small squashed glass marbles. Please bring a pen, and place container back to the original location to minimize the risk of being muggled.
このキャッシュは長崎平和公園の北東角にある”天主堂の見える丘”に設置してあります。平和公園は第二次世界大戦の終わりに長崎に投下された原子爆弾の犠牲者の慰霊、世界平和を祈念する記念公園です。このような悲惨なことが二度と起こらないことを願いたいものです。
キャッシュの設置場所は平和祈念像から50メートル程度の距離にありますので、祈念像をご覧になった後ここに立ち寄って浦上天主堂もご覧下さい。時間があればぜひ天主堂も訪ねてみて下さい。
キャッシュ容器は塗装したお菓子のAltoids の缶で、比較的目につきやすい場所に設置してあります。設置時に五円玉とおはじきをいくつか入れてあります。書き物を持参し、ログ後は元の位置に戻して下さい。
