Geocache Description:

This cache gives homage to the Royal Newfoundland Regiment at the beautiful Trail of the Caribou Memorial Park.

On the shores of Quidi Vidi Lake, across from the Royal Canadian Legion Brach 56 Pleasantville, you will find this Memorial Park.

It is beautiful in its simplicity:  Some well done informative placards, some seating for contemplation, and all done in a wheelchair friendly place for visitors.

The cache itself is found at:

N47 35.ABC W052 41.DEF

where A to F are found by reading the placards there and the clues below.

Given that during Covid-19 the park may be considered closed, photos of the placards are found below, taken before self-isolating measures were put in place.

Out of the 6,241 soldiers whom enlisted, 5,A45 served overseas. In frontline combat, the Royal Newfoundland Regiment received B6 Battle Honours.  Interestingly, the legendary "First 500" of Blue Puttees was actually a total of 53C soldiers.

Out of the overseas soldiers who served, 1,D05 were killed, 2,E14 were wounded, and 1F0 were taken prisoner.

The geocache itself is close by, with a little swag, log sheet and travel bug upon initial hide.
