I was heading up the Serpentine Trail after a long and pleasant day of hiking in Coe. Well, it was pleasant except for a very close encounter with a rattlesnake nearby. There are definitely serpents here! I was getting tired of hiking uphill, uphill, and more uphill, when the trail suddenly flattened out into a very pleasant shady little clearing. What a welcome sight! You're looking for a small container hidden about 40 feet from the trail. You can see the cache camo from the trail if you know where to look. Do you see somewhere you'd like to go sit and take a rest? That's where you'll find it.
The cache is about a 7 - 9 mile r/t hike from the Hunting Hollow parking lot, if you go straight there and back. It's an indefinitely long hike based on your choice of route. Enjoy the shade and the rest before continuing on your journey! Park hours are 24/7. Happy hunting!
