The Cache - TK#3
From TK#1, walk up Church St (collect the coordinate numbers for the Village Hall Cache on your way!!) and at the crossroads go straight over along Wood Lane. You are walking part of the trans-Cornwall Saintsway series of footpaths between Padstow and Fowey.
Bear right at the end of Wood Lane and then left to proceed down the narrow footpath past the Village Hall cache and through the tunnel under the railway.
The Tunnel of Doom is more atmospheric if you happen to be in it when a train goes over!! I like to imagine that Mr Brunel once passed by here as he surveyed the route for the Plymouth to Penzance and Falmouth mainline.
You aren't entering Tywardreath Marsh (locally known as the crocodile swamp although I have yet to see one!!)
The cache is a small screw top pot with room for small swaps and travel bugs.
