The Cache - TK#5
You are now walking along a footpath created when the river was canalised. Prior to 1700, this whole area would have been tidal up to and beyond the bridge at Treesmill which you will come to later.
Now, it is a great spot for dogs to have a paddle. If you are lucky, you may see small shoals of baby perch in the river.
The marsh to your left is a haven for wildlife and plants - it is impassable so please do not enter the boggy area - people do get stuck in there!!
The cache is a green camo petling tube attached by string to a tree.
You will have to step down about 1 m off the path to spot this one!! Don't get smuggled!!
