THE POSTED COORDINATES ARE NOT THOSE OF THE CACHE LOCATION!!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- You will need a BRIGHT flashlight or a headlamp to shine your way along the trail in search of white reflective tacks.
- It doesn't have to be perfectly dark as these reflective tacks shine up pretty good at dusk.
HOW DOES THIS WORK
- Once at the trailhead follow the trail to the posted coordinates - you wont have to walk far.
- From the posted coordinates, shine your flashlight all around until you see a reflective tack - then walk to it.
- Once there, shine your flashlight all around again until you find the next reflective tack, then walk to it.
- Repeat the step above and follow the trail of reflectors until you reach the end.
REFLECTIVE TACKS
- As you walk along the trail, be on the lookout for reflective tacks:
1 tack = marks the trail
2 tacks = marks a change in direction
3 tacks = marks the cache location
- The majority of reflective tacks along the trail are at the same approximate height.
- In more open areas, be sure to take your time and slowly scan the area with your light - you'll see them.
THE CACHE
Once at GZ, you should have no trouble spotting the cache container since it also marked with reflective tape.
