Geocache Description:


 

May 24th Weekend, camping in tents on a beautiful day, waking up to snow the next morning.  That's Newfoundland weather!  The Ridge, Southern Pond, Camp Carey,  Trail's End, Jones Pond and so many other popular spots taken over now by development or were destroyed but there will always be memories.


This cache was created for the camping memories gone by. As we get older, May 24th weekend sometimes turns into a long weekend off to get yard work done and have a few people over for a bbq.  A little work was put into the cache so would love if you could drop by for a visit before our Newfoundland winters take their havoc on the cache.  Hope it holds up for a few years to come.


At the time of the hide, the cache contained a log and May 24th trackable.  May need tweezers to retrieve the log and BYOP or BYOB if you plan to hang out a while!  The path is great and could be done in sneakers at the time of the hide. Have a great weekend with no rain or snow!

A half inch of sloppy snow lying on the ground
A hundred dollars poorer, who wants to be rich
We just had a lovely time out in the pits
