This cache is a replacement for the original #4 which came in second best in an encounter with a chain saw. Rest in peace (or pieces to be more precise!). We have maintained the presence in the West end but have had to move southward from the original location to find free cache space.
This cache is placed along Moncrief Line as that road heads for its dead end at the Otonabee River. The road is easily traversible in the summer months but can literally be under water during the spring melt when the Otonabee crests. Judge your search dates accordingly! There is a turnaround at the river end of Moncrief Line so no need to negotiate an awkward U-turn midway...
The ghosts of other caches previously placed near this site (Muskie Dave} may be felt as your search unfolds.....
