About this cache:   You are looking for a small container along the Alternate Blue Trail at Mills-Norrie State Park.

Carnations are not native to the United States. They are native to Eurasia, and come in a variety of colors and sizes, and as individual flowers or flowers on bushes or plants. These flowers would be entered in contests in vases. Ogden Mills usually entered white carnations. In 1914, he entered twenty-four blooms of carnations and received first place. Ogden did not enter Carnations as often as violets, roses, and chrysanthemums.
