Geocache Description:

The Coastal Trails is an emerging 30-mile, public system of multi-use off-road bicycle and pedestrian trails and bike lanes linking the unique coastal features, town centers, neighborhoods and transportation hubs in the communities of Amesbury, Newbury, Newburyport and Salisbury. With over 20 miles completed the trail network offers residents and visitors a healthy, alternative means of exercising, shopping, commuting or simply enjoying the region’s abundant natural, historic and cultural resources.

This multi will bring you to a few information kiosks along the Whittier bridge where you will gather the information needed to solve for all the waypoints in this multicache.  You will start your adventure at the posted coordinates where you will solve for the first waypoint.

WAYPOINT #1

Take the name of the person that the monument is dedicated to and count the occurance of each of the letters in the person's name.  Substitute the numbers into the coordinate string: N 42 5S.A3F W 07D 5E.6G8.

You can validate your waypoint #1 solution with certitude.
