Geocache Description:

Hail ghs 15,000 finds!
gas

ghs started caching on August 5, 2005 with Erie History (GCKV14).  Over the years he has become known for his in-depth and colorful log entries yet his first one was comprised of a mere 40 words. On average he will spill 133 words into an electronic log, but hit a peak of 766 words on CLSP - Fork in the trail (GC6GXQZ).

These geocaching logs routinely make reference to a various number of things - his electronic playmate or dingbat, adding various words to his dictionary such as "tricksy" or "mugglicity" or "kajillion" and spotting containers out of "the corner of his eye". If your geocache was easy to find he'll award you the prized button award (easy button), but if you made him work real hard to locate that pesky container he'll say, "Congratulations! You've won the highly prized despicably disreputable anti-button award" (not easy button).

He enjoys using his TB Leatherman to remove logs sheets. TSA stole the original one and then he lost its replacement in his car (probably under a heap of cigar wrappers).

However, probably his biggest claim to fame is his pursuit of First To Finds (FTFs). As of this writing he has gotten at least one FTF per month since March 2009. Currently, his FTF total stands at 1,093. Of course there are many times when he is just minutes from being FTF and will comment in his log, "Thanks for the FTF of the second kind".

His 15,000th find was Ohio County History Challenge - Greene (GC8HWYV ) on February 5, 2020
