For new cachers............ the Jasmer Challenge is where you must find a cache published in each month of each year since geocaching began in May, 2000. It gives you bragging rights, plus there are challenge caches out there that require you to show proof that you have done this before you can log the cache as found.
And what do you do after you have found at least 1 cache per month to complete your Jasmer grid? Well, you then try for double, triple, or quadruple Jasmer. The most you can get is quadruple because there are only 4 caches left from August, 2000 (and one of those is in Sweden).
