Since May, 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of Geocaching, I thought I'd bring attention to the 7 still active geocaches throughout the world that were placed in May, 2000.
In 5th place is GC46 (GC46), known simply by it's GC number or as "Geocache". It was placed in the Wellington Region on the North Island of New Zealand by Kevin Anderson on 5/26/00. It is the oldest cache in New Zealand and is the oldest cache in the North Island region. (Note that some lists go in alphabetical order and place The Spot which was placed on the same day in 5th place, however since New Zealand is about 15 hours ahead of New York time, GC46 was most likely published before The Spot was.)
