Today I decided to go for a hike on the John Nicholas Trail in Sanborn Park, starting at the Black Road trailhead. It was Memorial Day and it seems many others had the same idea; the parking was full. So I drove farther uphill on Black Road and found a spot that had space for 3-4 cars, depending on how they are parked. I did my hike, just to the lake and back because of the heat, and when I returned I noticed that there wasn't a cache within 0.1 miles of where I parked, and I remembered that I had a container that was salvaged from a previously archived cache.
So I looked around for a suitable spot to hide the cache and I found one. It should be a quick find, it's about 10-12 feet from the road.
If you use this as parking for a hike, be very cautious when walking at the side of Black Road to the trailhead. Happy caching/hiking.
