We found this cool overlook of the Long Creek drainage that empties into the Roubideau Creek while running the Roubideau Jeep Road Loop. There are multiple ways to get to this location, though I put a reference mark at the easiest turn to get to it.
Geocaching sometimes takes us to spectacular locations we would have never found without it, I hope this is one of those locations for you.
You will need to have a vehicle with 4WD, and good ground clearance for parts of this trail. It is rocky, has several short drops, and several small climbs, there are also several creek crossings and steep climbs if you run the rest of the loop after finding the cache. You will come to an intersection (pictured below) with a cattle guard on the left. Continue straight to get to the cache, go over the cattle guard to continue on the Roubideau Jeep Trail Loop. As you get close to the cache, you will need to take a left hand turn up a very steep incline. Rescue can be several hours away, so be smart when attempting this cache. On the plus side, I did have LTE service at this particular overlook, so you can phone some help from the cache location if you need it.
You should only encounter one green cattle gate. If you find it open, please leave it open as ranchers should be moving cattle. Normally the gate is closed, so please close it back after you go through it.
