The Tragedy of Old Rob

Old Rob was notorious for being a great fisherman and would win almost every fishing tournament he entered. He was also known for being a loner, maybe because he was so cranky no one wanted to fish with him. He knew where all the best fishing holes were. He couldn't afford a boat so he would hike to the secret locations.

One day he was fishing in a tournament. A big storm blew in and all the other fishermen returned to the weigh in except for Old Rob. People assumed he didn't catch a big one so he just didn't show up. After a couple days people realized that Old Rob was missing. The authorities searched around the lakes but never found him. The search fizzled out, probably because he wasn't missed and didn't have any family around that would claim him. Was he struck by lightning? Smashed by a fallen Tree? Was he too drunk to hike out of the woods? We may never know. After many years he is forgotten.

Now for the cache: I provided a Parking waypoint, you might be able to find a closer parking spot (give it a shot).
From the parking waypoint I went down cement wash out to the MTB trail below and followed it west. From Murphy's bench I started hiking down into the valley. Followed a couple game trails and an old road but mostly bushwhacked.
Eventually, I came across a clearing on the side of Lake Norwood. It could be Old Rob's secret fishing hole. You are looking for a regular size container hidden at the base of a tree not far from the water.

Don't end up like Old Rob, let someone know where you are going and bring some water to drink.
I encountered all of the attributes provided, so be prepared.

You could Kayak to GZ. However, you need a Bella Vista POA permit to boat on the lake.
