Geocache Description:

Bray Head Hill is the highest point around here, but is not as well known as its little brother nearby. It is located just a short way off the fantastic new 5.5km Bray Head Loop walk and can be easily recognised by its trig point.

There are less views of Dublin here, and more of the Wicklow Mountains to the west and Greystones to the south. It will undoubtedly be quiet here and you can easily forget you're just a few kilometres from a big town.

I rediscovered this hill during the period of lockdown in the spring of 2020. Only being allowed 2/5km from my house encouraged me to explore some of the gems near my house, and this was one that I kept coming back to. I walked the Bray Head Loop walk many times during this period, and would often come up to appreciate the views.

The name comes from my daughter - I asked her to name this cache and initially she thought of Rocky Grass Hill, but thought this name was much funnier.

I would recommend you start from Southern Cross or Raheen car park as it is really a fantastic walk, but if you just want to get to the cache in the shortest possible time there's a place to park your car closer to the cache. I believe it's possible to access from the golf course too, but this was closed at time of placing.
