Geocache Description:

The first cache of a small trail to remember good things to have come out of the Lockdown period. The name of the caches "Going on a Bear Hunt" is in tribute to the amazing daily displays of The Heaton Bears, Ed and Ted, dressed up in different scenarios for the whole of the Lockdown period. It gave a purpose for heading out every day to take our allowed single daily exercise. Small things like going out walking to count the rainbows in the window and then the smaller bears in the windows, lifted the spirits, but none more than seeing what Ed and Ted would be up to.

Subsequent caches will be along routes that we took during Lockdown.

By setting up this cache and learning about using GPS / co-ordinates, will go towards the Geocaching badge for Guides.

The area chosen for this cache was used for learning about nature and having fun outdoors so was a good fit for the cache. Its mainly used by dog walkers and is a nice green space amongst the houses.

The cache is a small film canister, with pictures of the bears on the outside and inside. Its just off the main dog walking path through the wooded area.

 Congratulations to SpencerBears for FTF.
