The team of LFLibrarian, scareway, pbrjwin (b) and miscellaneous Surly Teens came out for a paddle on Fishtrap Lake, and left behind a stinker of a sinker for you to find. You will need a boat to get to GZ. You will need to get wet to retrieve the cache. All of this will be great fun, since Fishtrap is a beautiful place to boat and great for swimming on a warm summer day. Parking coords are for the public boat launch. You will need a Discover Pass to park there!
The cache was placed in water up to LFLs shoulders, and could require you to dunk your head to recover and replace. Conventional wisdom is that this lake's level doesn't change very much, so the hope is that it will stay underwater, at a depth safe from boat motors. The container is attached to its anchor by a chain. If it seems the container is riding too close to the water's surface feel free to rehook it lower on the chain. Please know your swimming abilities and only go after the container if you know you can retrieve and replace it safely.
The log is Write in Rain paper, so even if water gets through double container seals (and it likely will) you should still be able to sign the log. There's a fish TB for FTF! Come and get it!
