Number 1460 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.
Welcome to the Wanstead Fine Pair.
This Fine Pair features a very rare Edward VIII post box besides the traditional red phone box. With a reign of just 326 days there was little time for new post boxes bearing his monogram to be placed hence there relative scarcity. In fact only between 150 - 170 still exist and even fewer have an accompanying red phone box.
As with many urban hides this area can be busy with muggles, please be stealthy when finding and replacing the cache.
On the door of the phone box is a sticker of how to contact BT in various ways including by post. Customer services can be found at PPABC with a post code of LLDE FRG.
Final coordinates:
N 51° A(C-D).(E-A)D(E-A)
E 000° B(A-F).EF(C-A)
The checksum for all the digits is 42 and the cache can be found a short distance away
The A Fine Pair series is managed by mattd2k
