This park has several different areas catering for all ages. There is a children’s play park and areas with a multigym, outdoor table tennis and other facilities.
Stanedykehead is a private road, so you will need to park on a neighbouring street and walk or cycle in to this area.
On the south side of the road is a woodland walk and I have placed a cache at each end in the hope that you will take the time to enjoy a pleasant stroll through the woodland. There are several boards giving information on the various flora and fauna you may encounter. Also look out for the carved wooden animals on the way through the woods. I spotted an owl, a fox, another owl with owlets, a badger and a hedgehog. I was just replacing the log and spotted a pair of rabbits that were not there before.
