Another interesting location found while scouting my Adventure Lab. Though there may not be as much history here as in other cemeteries, hopefully you’ll enjoy your tour. The posted coordinates will take you to location “A,” but feel free to visit the locations in any order you see fit.

A---Here you see before you the monument for Allegan County’s first settler, William Gay Butler. He came to the area from Hartford, CT in 1830 and platted the village in 1833. One might assume that Eliza was 3A years old when she died.
B---Here you will find a few of the many markers for our former military members. Take some time and admire the many people who were willing to sacrifice for our country. The one you need to focus on is for Garnett. What class of mechanic petty officer was Garnett?
C---There’s not really a whole lot here for you to find. However, look about and you shall see an orb not far off. Walk to it and fill in the 3rd digit of Melissa’s birth year.
D--- Over here we have a dedication to those that toiled on the Lake Ridge Farm. The farm was about two miles SW of Saugatuck. It started from seven seedling apple trees brought from Kalamazoo by Stephan A. Morrison of Vermont. How many individuals names' are listed on the rock?
X---- Hmm, what an interesting headstone we have here. Personally, this is the first of its kind for me. The captain sailed his family, 10 in total, from Lorraine, OH aboard the "Carrie Woodward" in 1862. For X, fill in the number of layers(coiled), top to bottom, of rope there are at its greatest.
Y---- Oh man, another intriguing plot. I truly hope that the family is not “right there.” I have not seen anything like this in my various visits to cemeteries. Why are things like this, I do not know. Not sure of the history here, but thought it to an interesting site. Grandma died in 18Y1.
Z---- Not sure about this family but to me it is evident that there is a lot of love for this giant family. Touching really, to be so proud of your kids and grand kids. Z shall be equal to the last digit of Georgianna’s birth year.
