Saham Toney windmill was a six storey 50 foot. brick mill with a Norfolk boat shaped cap and gallery. The patent double shuttered sails drove an 8 foot 6 inchs great spur wheel.
The mill was built in 1826 as borne out by its original datestone J & S B 1826. A second datestone was added later Rebuilt 1960 EG&ME Twining, when the mill was converted to a private dwelling. The cap was replaced by castellated brickwork and the tower was given an off white finish.
