PRUGNANO, o SANPRUGNANO di ROSANO nel Val d'Arno sopra Firenze. - Casale con chiesa parrocchiale (S. Martino) nel piviere di S. Lorenzo a Miransù, Comunità di Rignano, Giurisdizione del Pontassieve, Diocesi di Fiesole, Compartimento di Firenze. Risiede nell'estreme pendici del monte che da Miransù scende a bagnarsi nell'Arno, sulla cui sponda sinistra esiste la chiesa di S. Martino a Prugnano, o Sanprugnano, la trovo in un atto pubblico del novembre 1083 appartenuto alle monache Camaldolensi di S. Pietro a Luco. Questa chiesa è da antichissimo giuspadronato delle monache di Rosano, per quanto non senza qualche contrasto oppostogli dal pievano di Miransù, siccome apparisce da una carta del 29 gennajo 1233. - Anco un istrumento del 25 febbrajo 1275 prova lo stesso diritto a favore delle monache di Rosano, poichè in quel giorno donna Filippa abbadessa di quel Monastero come patrona della chiesa di S. Martino a Sanprugnano assieme con i popolani e col consenso delle sue monache investì di procura Guccio del fu Geremia per eleggere il rettore di detta chiesa allora vacante, ed infatti l'elezione seguì in Firenze, due giorni dopo. Nel 1472 con atto pubblico del 13 aprile i popolani di S. martino e Sanprugnano elessero sindaci per prestare il consenso all'unione che si propose di fare della suddetta chiesa di S. Martino a quella della SS. Annunziata del Monastero di Rosano; Alla quale unione prestò anche il suo consenso il parroco mediante opportuna rinunzia dell'8 luglio, anno 1472, fatta in mano di Guglielmo Becchi Vescovo di Fiesole, nell'atto che questo prelato univa la detta chiesa con i suoi beni a quella di Rosano e le Monache ne fanno prendere il possesso. English PRUGNANO, or SANPRUGNANO di ROSANO in the Val d'Arno above Florence. - Farmhouse with parish church (S. Martino) in the plover of S. Lorenzo in Miransù, Community of Rignano, Jurisdiction of Pontassieve, Diocese of Fiesole, Florence compartment. It resides in the extreme slopes of the mountain that descends from Miransù to bathe in the Arno, on whose left bank there is the church of S. Martino a Prugnano, or Sanprugnano, I find it in a public act of November 1083 which belonged to the Camaldolensi nuns of S. Pietro a Luco. This church dates back to ancient times as owner of the nuns of Rosano, although not without some contrast opposed by the parish priest of Miransù, as it appears from a paper dated 29th January 1233. - An instrument dated February 25th 1275 also proves the same right in favor of the nuns of Rosano, as in that day Donna Filippa abbess of that monastery as patron of the church of S. Martino in Sanprugnano together with the common people and with the consent of her nuns invested in the power of attorney Guccio of the late Jeremiah to elect the rector of the church, then vacant, and indeed the election followed in Florence two days later. In 1472 with a public deed of April 13 the commoners of S. martino and Sanprugnano elected mayors to give consent to the union that it was proposed to make of the aforementioned church of S. Martino to that of the SS. Annunziata of the Rosano Monastery; To which union the parish also gave his consent through an appropriate renunciation of 8 July, year 1472, made in the hand of Guglielmo Becchi Bishop of Fiesole, in the act that this prelate united the said church with its goods to that of Rosano and the Nuns have it taken over.
