"Vasca" is a term local kids used a decade ago referring to strolling downtown. It's a strange vasca as it will take you "around" the city centre.
The first cache will show you one of the hydroelectric centrals on the De Dottori canal which, from the Rosta on the Isonzo river, will meet with Valentinis canal and flow into the docks of Monfalcone where Timavo (the Argonauts "river that doesn't exist") ends aswell. There are the northernmost docks of the Adriatic sea and of Italy itself.
This cache is the first of three steps and it does not contain the logbook. You have to read the instructions inside to find it. It's an urban cache so it requires stealth as there might be mugglers around. Avoid, if possible, daylight. It's better to search for it in the afternoon or at night. I'd advise you to wear a yellow jacket to disguise as a worker, when searching.
At the final stage, after signing the logbook (bring a pen), to close the lid of the cache press reset and then re-input the code.
"Vasca" è un termine usato un decennio fa dai ragazzi bisiachi per dire "andiamo a fare una passeggiata in centro". Questa è una vasca strana perché vi porterà "attorno" al centro della città.
La prima cache è situata vicino ad una delle centrali idroelettriche situate sul canal De Dottori che, dalla Rosta sull'Isonzo, incontra più avanti il canal Valentinis e scorrerà verso il porto di Monfalcone dove anche il Timavo (il "fiume che non c'è" degli Argonauti) finisce. Quello è il porto più a nord dell'Adriatico e dell'Italia stessa.
Questa cache rappresenta il primo di tre passi e non contiene il logbook. Per trovarlo leggete le istruzioni nella cache. Si tratta di una cache urbana quindi richiede furtività per la presenza di babbani. Suggerisco di evitare il giorno, meglio cercarla di pomeriggio o di notte, oppure indossare una giacca gialla per camuffarsi da operai addetti a qualche manutenzione.
Allo stage finale, dopo aver firmato il logbook (portatevi una penna), premete reset e re-immettete la combinazione, per chiudere il coperchio della cache.
