Welcome To Lake Stevens!
The opening line to the Joe Diffie song, Third Rock From The Sun, is ... Welcome to Earth, third rock from the sun. By June 2020, we have experienced all manner of global, and regional large scale events: COVID-19 pandemic, quarantine orders by the governor, invasion of 'murder hornets from Asia', riots in the streets, etc.
The song is apropos. And in this sleepy part of town, there's a welcome sign. I would like to welcome you to Lake Stevens properly with a geocache, and if you're visiting Earth for the first time, I am welcoming you to the game of Geocaching!
Geocache
Once parked at the provided coordinates, the geocache is hidden in a thicket of trees in the southwest corner of the parking lot. After finding the cache, inking the logbook, I encourage you to look at the welcome sign which also has coordinates. The Centennial Trail is adjacent to the parking lot which could be an inviting walk or bicycle ride.
