The bgmat geomobile is full of TOTT, both for the day job as well as the geocaching fun. Most TOTT cover both purposes. One of those that bgmat uses a lot, is the drink bottle. During the day job it is used to keep healthy and hydrated. During geocaching, it is particularly useful, especially on those caches that are a little remote and require a bit of a wander.
Recently, bgmat had the geomobile in for its service, and rather than sit in a waiting room full of strangers during the pandemic, the decision was made to go for a wander around the local area. So the water bottle was grabbed from the geomobile and the wandering commenced. This included checking some bgmat caches, looking at an area to try to solve a BFE puzzle, and also researching locations for new caches. In the process of this research, bgmat lost the water bottle. All bgmat can recall is that it was within the required limits of the listed coordinates. There was a lot of wandering done that day.
While wandering around, the bgmat mind continued to mull over the topic of geocaching, which bgmat enjoys so much. The prime factors in the enjoyment are multiple. There is the fact that many caches are hidden in plain sight, in such a way that the casual passer-by would just think of it as “Normal”, but the geocacher sees it for what it really is. Two, there are those caches that are hidden a little more subtly, so they are not obvious, but a geocacher can see the possibility that the cache is in that location. 19
Then there are those caches that are hidden, even from the keen eyes of a geocacher, and require some inspection and digging to uncover the cache. And there are those well-hidden caches that require a little more digging, inspection and intuition to uncover the hidden gem. There are also those caches that include all of the previous attributes and require something special to uncover them. And finally there are those caches that are hidden in plain sight but will require a special tool to retrieve it and claim the prize. The password is numerically wet
And these same factors apply to mystery/puzzle caches which also adds to the fun, enjoyment and satisfaction of geocaching.
Well, enough of the bgmat ramblings. Just to help you all, I have included a photo of the missing drink bottle just so you know what you are looking for. So head out there, and please find my drink Bottle.
PS: And I did solve the BFE puzzle…
