OKIC Winter / Holiday Community Celebration
Come celebrate with us as we enter our 21st year in existance. As usual, this will be a Potluck Dinner and the White Elephant gift exchange. If you would like to add a group game, please let me know via the GeoMessage Center.
The event is handicap / wheelchair accessible. If you need assistance, please let me know (i'm the tall guy). Just inside the door is the elevator. Stairs down to first floor dining room is inside the double doors and to the right. The posted event cordinates is the main entrance. If you enter Westwood First Presbyterian Church at the Main entrance on Harrison Ave, you must park in that lot and walk around the building. I do not suggest this as lighting is not very good over there and it is not handicap accessible from that lot.
Schedule
All times are followed by the term ISH. Food amounts, we typically have 30 to 50 people at this annual event.
5:00 to 6:00 arrive and set up your food dish. Plus some chitty chat.
6:01 to 7:00 The Feast aka Dinner aka Supper aka Viddles aka whatever name the younger folks are calling it these days
7:01 to 7:32, chitty chat time and TB swap meet
7:33 to 8:03 White Elephant game
8:04 to 9:00 free time. If anyone would be able to help clean up, you will be very appreciated.
Before or after the event, GC394M6 BSA Troop 107 traditional geocache is on the grounds. You will need a flashlight if you go for this after the event. One of the neighbors is a retired detective, so easy on the flashlights and noise please. If you are new to geocaching and would like someone with you to find this one, there will be plenty of volunteers present.
Please add the number of people in your party and an idea of what food you will bring to your WILL ATTEND log. In case of inclement weather, the eventr maybe postponed. If weather is predicted for that time, please watch for event announcements.
Due to popular request, the cache LOG will be making a return visit. Signing the log will be at your own risk. Neither the OKIC nor the church will be responsible for injuries sustained in your signing of the log. You are signing at your own free will.
