Whoops, I'm running out of time to host a Community Celebraiton event! Let's meet from 2:30-4:30pm in Brea at Olinda Ranch Neighborhood Park, just off Santa Fe Road and Carbon Canyon Road. The guidelines suggest picking a theme, such as the event host's caching anniversary. I looked up that information, and it turns out that I signed up for a geocaching account on November 18, 2010! So I guess this weekend is something of a geo-anniversary for me! Maybe we can share tales of our special milestone finds and epic geocaching adventures over the years.
We'll try for the large picnic shelter, but since they can't be reserved in advance we might need to use one of the smaller shelters or some of the nearby picnic tables if there's another group using the big shelter. The two smaller shelters are listed as waypoints, and I'll make an announcement if we need to use one of them or a nearby set of picnic tables. This event happens rain or shine; if it's raining, it might be chilly, but there likely won't be any competition to use the picnic shelter!
