Come Celebrate 20+ years of Geocaching Smilies at the Long Beach LBX, the heart of the former Douglas Aircraft Factory. This area has shops and many restaurants in an informal setting and is a great central location for a day of geocaching.
Event starts around 10am and will last until noon but may linger on a little bit, you know how it goes: you are talking geocaches, just one more and time flies! The logbook will at least be available till 12:19pm.
Posted coordinates are just outside the hangar, we'll try to use a couple tables there. Plenty parking nearby and around, it will only be a short walk.

Geocachers: socialize with geocachers from Long Beach, the West End, Inland Empire, the Westside, Beach Cities, South Coast or from whereever they are!
Geocaching Intel: Events provide great opportunities to get intel on those impossible puzzle caches or hides!
Geocaches: In this area you'll find a number of geocaches that celebrate aviation history. Many are within walking distance and are ADA friendly. Bring your TOTT's if you try to grab a few. New geocaches may be published during the event.
Is this where you start your Busy Icon Day? There are 6 icons within walking distance: Traditional, Multi, Mystery, Adventure Lab, WIG, Letterbox, and this Community Celebration Event makes it 7 icons. Now you just need another event, earthcache, virtual and a webcam to make it 11!
Trackables: Drop off trackables at the event, grab a trackable you wish to move along, and discover the rest! Of course this is all optional!
Swag: a bucket with swag is there for kids or for those who are looking to attach something to a trackable.
Discover and Explore: Do you have a gadget cache you would like to showcase, or do you have a very large trackable you want geocachers to discover (and you are only slightly hopeful someone will grab it to take along)? Bring it along and share! Please note that this is a "no dumping" event, this means if you bring a big ugly one to the event, you'll take it home too!
Food & Drink: Plenty of choice available in the immediate area for take-out or sit-down. Some places open around 11am.
This is a low-key event, come as you are, stay five minutes or two hours, talk geocaching, find a couple caches with geocachers you just met and have fun.
