17 April 2022, 1000 - 1200
A social gathering for geocachers to discuss geocaching.
2020 (err...2022) - Throw Those Cluckers Down A Hill - Easter Event
Roll up! Roll up! And once you've rolled up let's roll down...again!
This is our FIRST (and maybe last) egg rolling competition down the hill at the Fireworks Park (officially known as South St. Park). Egg rolling is not compulsory.
It will take place on,
Easter Sunday, April 17th, 1000 - 1200.
The event:
- We request that your egg be painted in some fashion.
- We will have two rounds of egg rolling; one for the children and one for the pretend children (the growed ups).
- The furthest rolled (not thrown) egg shall be declared the winner.
The winner of each rolling event shall receive some form of chocolate celebration.
FTF shall be awarded to the best decorated adult egg.
Chocolate shall be awarded to the best decorated child's egg (7up)
More chocolate shall be awarded to the best decorated child's egg (under 7's)
Pre-rolling - If you are looking for something to occupy your time, cache-wise, I can highly (superbly biased) recommend 'Our Cachiversary Quest' GC489QB
Post-rolling, there is a VERY handy nearbywhere we can retire and talk about all things egg.
Please spread the word about this event. It's great CRACK.....!!!! Hah!
ps. if you actually throw a chicken you will be disqualified, only eggs what have been rolled count, by order of Darleygirl
Community Celebration Events - 2020 (I've been told to keep this in)
This Event is part of a limited release of Community Celebration Events to celebrate 20 years of geocaching. Geocachers hosted events between May 2, 2020 and December 31, 2021 (hmmm). Learn more about Community Celebration Events on the Geocaching Blog.
