I am excited to invite you to the second Monongahela River Splash-Mod, June 19th. We will be meeting at 9:00am and it will last for 30 minutes. After the event I plan to paddle north to Prickett's Fort where we can take out easily.The trip north will take approximently six and one-half to seven hours. Anyone who would like to join me is welcome.
Why paddle the Mon. River? I hear there is a new water trail in the area if you'd be so inclind, with at least 5 of each of the following cache types - traditionals, letterboxes, mysteries, wherigos and multis - as well as a couple bonus caches. The launch point and take out points are on the cache page for GC8PBCA, as well as a bookmarked list of the other caches on the trail. The Mon.is a slow moving river and will provide an enjoyable paddle.
Load up your kayak or canoe...rehearse your caching stories and don't forget your PFD's and paddles!
