This cache was placed on a recent hike with a bunch of muggles, much to their amusement I stopped at this Gauging Station and ushered them on while I took the required readings as best I could with the tree coverage and placed the cache. It is a magnetic hide on the 4th step from the bottom on the larger set of stairs over the concrete wall.
I recommend you do the whole hike and follow the trail all the way, as it is a very enjoyable, albeit long, even if your legs will complain a bit the next day, it is a sense of achievement and a beautiful hike that takes you across several different bushscapes.
Plenty of water, good shoes and time are essential for this adventure. I parked at the Jarrahdale cemetery, if you decide to start your adventure at Serpentine Falls, expect a fee and be aware the gates close at 5pm. Whatever end you start be sure to check out the falls.
Have a read up on the Kitty Gorge trail befor attempting there are several good guides to be found, "The Life of Py" is a good place to start as to what to expect, the author does this hike true justice with his experience and pictures, capturing how it feels walking this amazing trail.
