Dorsey Cemetery is a very old gravesite, dating back to the 1700s, nestled in a housing development just north of Rt. 40. The cemetery itself has mostly fallen into disrepair, but the local residents have been very diligent about keeping the area clean and well-maintained.
It's a bit strange to see something like this in the middle of a development, but it serves to help us remember the past. This development, Valley Mede, was developed on part of the old Dorsey estate called Arcadia.
This cache is a field puzzle using a sign at the cemetery grounds. Take a load off, spend a minute meditating, and see if you can solve this puzzle!
The final coordinates are:
N39 16.ABC
W76 4D.ADC
A = Take one of the two identical digits in the Troop number of the Boy Scout who built the meditation area, square it, then divide by 2.
B = Take one of the identical numbers in the year in which it was placed, square them, then add them together.
C = The last digit of the year in which the sign was placed.
D = The first digit in the Troop number.
