Geocache Description:

This is a short, two-stage multi.  At stage one, you will get the information needed to determine the coordinates for the final location.

The posted coordinates will take you to a mural and descriptive sign in Havre de Grace where your powers of observation will help you get the necessary information to determine the coordinates for the cache, which is within walking distance of the mural.

The coordinates for the cache are N 39 HE.IDB W 076 0F.CGA, where

  • A = According to the map of the Chesapeake Bay, the number of stops Captain John Smith made
  • B = The second digit of the year that he make his explorations, minus F

Checksum = 35

According to my sources at the dentist office across the street, this mural was completed in 3-4 months and was done in spray paint!
