Geocache Description:

Thirty years ago this cache would have been in the middle of Cow Lane - verdant countryside with Didcot a kilometre away.

Now the old route is mostly severed and disused. Even the gate closing the road has been swallowed by the undergrowth as nature reclaims this forgotten corner of tarmac.

If you want to step back in time, this video from 1988 on YouTube was taken from pretty much exactly the spot where the cache now is, during construction of the new road which cuts this corner off.

The three cooling towers in the background have of course disappeared.
