How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Enjoy this branch of the South Run Stream Valley trail. If approaching from the west, you will cross the stream on a set of concrete pilings. Sometimes beavers are active in the area. Coming from the east, there is street parking on Rushing Creek Drive, but you'll miss the most scenic parts of the trail.

Please beware of poison ivy when you leave the paved trail to search for the cache. You do not need to go through poison ivy to find the hide site.

A small climb is required to reach the cache. The rock that shields it is unsteady, so please take care not to disturb the location.

Placed with permission from the Fairfax County Park Authority. Park hours are dawn to dusk. Night caching is prohibited.
