Dan Brown Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

liberalbid: Thanks for everyone's support and messages of enjoyment about this cache. Reading the logs has been such an enjoyable experience and one I looked forward to everyday.
Unfortunately I have to archive the cache. I'm unable to recreate/remake the cache following its theft in time so better to open up the area for another cacher.

Geocache Description:

This cache is a nod to Dan Brown, and in particular,  to a device that appears in his story, The Da Vinci Code. Fans of the book/movie might well have an idea of what awaits them...

The posted coordinates take you to a resting spot on an easy-to-walk, paved trail running through the northern suburbs of Amaroo and Moncrieff. A surprisingly quiet and bushy walk that is home to Kangaroo mobs and other local wildlife yet surrounded on all sides by the ever-growing suburban sprawl of Canberra's Gungahlin area.
There you will find a clue to the final destination (cache location).
This is a very popular walk so please be discrete when retrieving the clue.

You can then begin your ascent to the cache where you will be rewarded with unexpected views of much of the Gungahlin area and further south across the ACT.
Please, please, please take care to 'reset', 'reseal', and thoroughly conceal the cache container. It is not your typical container and would be very difficult to replace.

The logbook is concealed within a container, that is in turn housed in a larger, outer container.
Simply finding the cache is not enough. To log a find, you will have to gain access to the inner container.
The outer, larger container does have some space for a few small items or trackables if you would like to use it.

** The shortest route from the clue to the cache requires leaving the paved trail and then ascending through the bush. It is not difficult, and can easily be handled by children but is not accessible for strollers, wheelchairs, or bikes. There is an alternative but longer route thast is paved up until the last 20 metres. **

Shout out and congratulations to Flintstone's for being First To Find!
