THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES
There are three Submarine Rescue Alert Levels.
EVENT SUBLOOK is initiated when a submarine fails to report in on time.
EVENT SUBMISS is executed if:
- The safety of the submarine is in doubt.
- The arrival or accountability report/message is overdue and the steps required for EVENT SUBLOOK have been completed.
The Navy begins mobilizing rescue resources during EVENT SUBMISS.
EVENT SUBSUNK must be started if:
- A submarine fails to surface following a known accident.
- Or, there is reason to suspect that a submarine has suffered a casualty and requires assistance.
- Or, the requirements of EVENTS SUBLOOK and SUBMISS have been completed.
A full scale Search and Rescue operation is conducted during EVENT SUBSUNK.
USS GEOCACHE (SS-757) is overdue for reporting and may require assistance.
EVENT SUBSUNK has been initiated.
Use the waypoints, they are clues from past Search and Rescues, to assist in THIS Search and Rescue operation.
